Amendment to Bye Laws for U16 to U18 Members
- There shall be three classes of membership, namely Life Vice-Presidents, who shall be elected from time to time at the Annual General Meeting for services rendered to the Club and who shall not be liable to pay any subscription, Playing Members and Social Members. The Playing Members shall be divided into Full Members, Lady Members, and Junior Members - the Junior Members being divided into Full-Time Students and Juniors under 18. Additionally, the membership for Juniors under 18 shall be deemed to include automatically their parent(s) or guardian(s), and that for Full Members to include their spouse or partner.
The change in the Bye Law, moving the age from 16 to 18, brings us in line with child protection requirements and means all those registering between the ages of 16 and 18 will do so with the colts. They and their parents/guardians will complete the same paperwork as the rest of the colts membership. In child protection terms they will be treated the same as all under 18's, but in all other respects they will be treated as senior members of the club.
