2nd April, 1937.

Dear Sir or Madam,

The Annual General Meeting will be held at Brentwood School, Ingrave Road, on Friday, 9th April, at 8 p.m., Mr. C. E. Lewis will take the Chair and the Committee will present its Report and the Accounts for the year ended 31st December, 1936.

SEASON 1936. CRICKET. The County Week was again a success, although the cold weather prevented most of our distinquished Indian visitors from giving of their best, we must record the delightful display given by Amar Nath in scoring a century in each innings. Brentwood has again been alotted two very attractive fixtures for the coming season, namely, Gloucestershire June 12, 14, 15 and Cambridge University June 16, 17 18.

Last season saw a welcome increase in the number of cricket members, there being more players available than for many years. The Club enjoyed a moderately successful season, though, once again too many games were drawn. The policy of running an "Extra" XI proved popular and a number of fixtures have again been made for the season 1937.

TENNIS. There has been a further increase in the membership of the Tennis Section. But there are still vacancies for new members.

It is with deep regret that the Committee record the passing of Mr. J. F. Drake, a Vice-President, and Mrs. Kidd, both of whom were very great supporters of the Club.

The opening Cricket fixtures of the new season have been arranged for 24th April and if weather permits the ground will be open for practice on the previous Saturday, 17th April. It is expected that the Tennis Courts will be opened on the 1st May.

Yours faithfully,
B.W. VINCENT,

Honorary Secretary
