Brentwood Colts U9's Tournament
Brentwood under 9's played in an 8 a side hard ball tournament hosted by South Weald. Brentwood won the event with the following scores:
Hutton 197 vs Brentwood 247
South Weald B 178 vs Brentwood 267
South Weald A 207 vs Brentwood 241
All of the boys played very well in all three disciplines, the batting and running between the wickets continues to develop, whilst the bowling was accurate, varied and well supported by excellent fielding. Most pleasing was the team spirit which was maintained over a long day with the boys really supporting each other especialy when mistakes were made. A special mention, George Bull took a hat trick (proud dad!)

After being knocked out in the Semi's in the CEDCB Cup by Chelmsford, Brentwood U11A squad players felt a bit down, until they realised they had successfully won the U11 League, only loosing one game to Shenfield A. Well done to all the squad players, what a great season, please take all you have learnt and experienced into your next season.

Brentwood was one of 32 teams playing in the U11 Mini Matchplay at Essex County Ground Chelmsford on Friday 4th September. They were drawn to play against Woodford Wells, Bentley and Ardleigh Green, winning 2 out of 3 matches. Fun was had by all, the players received a medal and we received a pendant for the club. Players were Edward Abbott, James Berry, Edward Abbott, Ryan Beecheno, George Gennings, Ewan Smith, Joshua Turner and Aaron Doyle.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my U11A squad this year for doing so well, and for the enjoyment you have all given me watching you play this year, you have all been a great squad and I could not have asked for more from you. Also thank you to all the parents for all your help, I would not have been able to do this without you all. Thanks to all the catering. I look forward to all your progress over the next couple of years and hope I will be involved in this.
